Well I'm glad to hear that. You seem to have some experience and good sense about these things.
In my opinion, anybody that doesn't know latin so to speak when it comes to what animal they are selling, just can't be trusted. I mean how much could they really know about what they are selling you, huh?
That will often tell you what condition these animals were in before you got them.

My advise to you would be to call the pet store up and tell them not to buy the Horned Lizards off these indescriminate peddlers again. For one thing, the prey they eat is very specific and you can't get it at Petco or in just any old back yard. For another thing, they really don't usually survive well in captivity that easily. And lastly, this is one of the three big reasons that Horned Lizards are disappearing from the map. Indescriminate strip mining and peddling out of the back of a truck.
