A great conservation spokesman is gone..

The world's wildlife has lost one of it's foremost spokesmen.

I is hard to think of anyone who has dedicated more time, money and enegry to spreading the ever important conservation message to the world, in a format that most could agree with.

Sure, some of his antics were a little too risky and maybe not thought all the way through, but the media attention this phenomenal man has brought to saving our planet weighs up that by far.

My heart goes out to Steve's family and I hope that they somehow can get to see the wave of condoleances around the world's reptile and naturalist forums.
