Yes, many funds are in his name, but very few go to his family. The majority of them go to the conservation of wildlife directly, in his name. Although donating to a local group in his name is also very much appreciated by them and very generous.

May he rest in peace, God Bless Terri, Bindi, and Bob.

David

>>I've always had mixed emotions about some of what Steve Irwin did on TV. BUT, what was clean is he loved his family, cared for friends, and had an honest passion for wildlife.

>>

>>Add to that his massive entertainment factor, he will obviously be missed by more than most of us when it is our time.

>>

>>BUT, please,,, I see many memorial funds? I'm just guessing here a bit, but I think he Discovery Channel made him a fairly wealthy man. If you want to collect money, donate it to a local animal/wildlife org in his name.

>>

>>SteveO was a TV character that seemed bigger than life. And he was. Not many get to do all he did. Steve has moved on, as we all will. My feeling go out to his family, especially his children. We will miss Steve on TV, but it can not compare to how his family feels his loss.

>>

>>My deepest sympathies and prayers go out to Terri and his 2 children and the rest of his family.
