Recently looking through the amphibian section of the classifieds on here I came across an ad for red efts. They say in the ad that these NY locale red efts are eating mushrooms. That's right mushrooms. Has anyone ever heard, read or observed this? And if so, what species of fungi would and could they eat? I am curious to know. I live in SC and about a week ago a, what I thought was an adult RSN, red eft showed up at the front door(eluding 10 cats on the porch). I have kept adults in the past but red efts are new to me. While I'm here, any suggestions on what to offer it for food? I currently do not have any newly hatched B. lateralis roaches to offer(my smallest roach I am breeding). Thanks to all info and ideas. Here's a pic of the lil' bugger, only 2 inches.
