Fire Belly newts and toads?

Ok I wanna get some chinese fire belly newts (The smaller kind) I was told that mixing them with the fire belly toad shouldnt be a problem at all? just wanna see your veiws on this....would I be better with mixing the FBTs with the bigger fire belly newts (from Japan) or should I just not mix them at all and keep it to strictly fire belly newts?
