They bite, but rarely hard enough to draw blood, and usually only if their movement is restricted, do it with a cotton bud instead of your finger, if it cant find the energy to hunt it certainly wont have the energy to bite you that hard, and really it isnt worth letting him die just to save a little nip, be brave and try it with the cotton bud, lol. If necessary try using tweezers to put the food in his mouth
