Felipes, generally have thinner brighter stripes than Bahia de La. The stripes are often more of an orange colour on a yellowigh background.
Bay of La's are typically not as bright and have chesnut to brick red coloured stripes on a muddier often tan back ground, but all of these things are generalizations. Selective breeding has resulted in beautiful bright specimens of both locales. San Matias and San Felipes can also be very hard to tell apart.
