Yes my 12 year old boy is named Fluffy. I named him that in '94 because it made no sense to name a turtle Fluffy... lol
Anyway yesterday was the first time in his life he's ever seen a vet.
He's got a spot on his shell that looks like a pit & it's bothered me for a long time. I watched it to see if it got any bigger & told myself if it did he'd see the vet.
Well it got bigger but it's not infected! After telling the vet all about him she concluded that he must have bumped or scraped himself on his former stack of rocks that he used to have for a basking area.
Last year this vet got me a really fabulous deal on a 55 gallon tank for Fluffy & when he moved into that he eventually got a ZooMed floating basking thing so the rocks have been gone for a long time now.
I was thrilled when I left because in the end the vet declared him to be very very healthy.
Fluffy is the pet who's lived here longer than any others, he's already out lived the dog that we got in 1994, so he saw the vet because we can't take any chances with Fluffy!
