Hi,

I was just wondering, can Xenopus laevis be housed in the same tank with other species of frogs that are similiar in size? What about species like Xenopus borealis with xenopus laevis in the same tank? Or what about Silurana tropicalis with xenopus laevis? If they are all adult females are the sizes that different? What about a male from the larger species being housed with a female from the smaller species? Is the behavior of these species very different? I've seen articles claiming each adult frog needs at least 1 gallon of water, or other articles claiming 2-5 gallons per adult frog.....frankly, this doesn't seem like very much to me, what's the maximum capacity for a 20 gallon tank? 5 frogs? that seems crowded.

Also, last but not least, I know ethoxyquin has been taken out of many pet foods because of health problems, so I was surprised to find it listed on many fish foods and the Reptomin sticks......are these companies just preying on the ignorance of consumers? Will this shorten the life span of our pets?
