sure are they were introduced a while ago. They are mainly found in areas with LOTS of hiding (mostly rock) areas, water and good temp basking areas. they and pretty damn good diggers too! and FAST.... I dont want to say where exactly they are (dont want them further introduced), so i'll just say if your ever on Vancouver Island drop me a line and i'll show you some good spots.
