I would say that the average for me has been about every 40-45 days. But, that said, I have one now that shed and then shed less than 30 days later. My first A. arafurae was so stressed when it arrived that it went into shed, but never did. Then went into shed ~40days later and finally shed. I've seen terrestrial snakes do this from stress on rare occassion.
My advice right now is not to worry about it. Spend Your energy making sure the parameters are correct and the snake will shed very soon or after it goes into shed the next time....

>>Howdy, >> >>I have a question for the experienced file snake keepers out there: how long does it typically take these guys to shed? (Adult snakes, not babies.) I acquired two of these over a month ago, and one looked as though it may have been going opaque when I first got it. It hasn't shed yet, and the other one is now starting to look the same way. Any suggestions? >> >> >>Thanks! ----- Arafura Filesnake
