I saw your post on the photography forum, so I couldn't cheat. Interesting how some turned out. Here's the same snake, same setting, the only difference is fill flash:


And with flash:


It's interesting how the flash brings out the stripes, and makes the snake look a lot shinier than it really is.
I've got a new camera on the way (Canon S3), and it will give me a lot of options over my old 1.6mp Sony Mavica. It's basically as good as they come, without switching to SLR. Hopefully I can figure it out before my trip!
