White balance experiment...

So when last we left our heroes they couldn't figure out whether "Active UV" lighting was causing fluorescing off of mandarin ratsnakes or whether the white balance just needed adjusting. So I set a custom white balance under this strange light and took some more mandarin photos and here is what I got:



and for comparison here is one with an auto white balance under the same kind of light:



Here's one under regular fluorescent light with auto white balance:



Here's one with camera flash and auto white balance:



Conclusion:
It seems to be a white balance problem. Although I don't think my little PowerShot has the ability to compensate for the funky light I was using.
