Posted by: BillyBoy at Thu Feb 8 13:56:03 2007 [ Report Abuse ] [ Email Message ] [ Show All Posts by BillyBoy ] I posted this over in the Rear-fanged forum but didn't get any responses, so thought I'd post over here. I picked up a pair of Eastern Tiger Snakes last week and I wanted to know if anyone had any experience with keeping/breeding them. There seems to be precious little published about them. I had a pair of the plain brown ones (T. dhara I think) many years ago and they were pretty easy. Chowed on hoppers and didn't really seem to be high maintenance at all. I have regretted selling those very cool little snakes ever since. So far the new additions have been mostly pretty easy as well (female was severely dehydrated at first but bounced back quickly) and are feeding really well on pinkies. They also seem to have amazingly fast metabolisms, more like american rat snakes! If anyone has any additional info. they'd like to share, it would be greatly appreciated. I'll get some pics up soon too. [ Reply To This Message ] [ Subscribe to this Thread ] [ Show Entire Thread ] | ||
