Actually using a heavy cream like that isn't good for them because the shell is living tissue, the cream can block air flow through the tissue.

If you compare the label of this cream to human hand cream or even horse hoof cream.. you'll see it's not really different & is IMO just a high dollar rip off.

Frankly in times of low humidity like right now where I live I have found that adding a bit of fish aquarium stress coat helps with dryness more than anything.. as long as the dryness is not diet related.
