That's pretty hard to say for sure, it could have been a number of things,....we don't know how long the other source had them, fed them(if at all),temp they were kept at, knocked around in warehouse, etc.........they could have been not fed at all, and highly stressed-out, it's impossible to say.......did your snakes look nice and healthy, fairly round, or was their spine noticably pronounced,skin folded and thin?....they could have been kept in an aquarium with fifty of them all piled together. Importers, and wholesalers don't give one hoot about the well being of anything, they just want the majority to survive long enough to make some money.....but if they look nice and bright green, with vivid yellow belly, and are moved into a vivarium with some branches, and places to hide, kept in a kind of "tropical" setting with a mist from a spray bottle maybe once a day, they should do fine. Provided they are okay to begin with..........hope this helps ..........................Doug
