I'm new to this forum, have a couple of questions probably answered in the past, so sorry if they're redundant.

I live in So. CA and my spotteds are maintained outdoors year round. 10 x 12 foot enclosure, 1/2 pond, the other sandy soil with roses and grass. I keep a pile of oak leaves in one corner for them to hibernate in. Every time we get rain, they breed. I never find the eggs until they've either been invaded by ants or rats or hatched (haven't found any babies in 4 years). Wondering when should I start searching for eggs given our climate here? Next, question, my four 2003 hatchlings are as big as my two WC adults. It looks like they are all females. I've noticed the old male is now showing interest in a couple of them. How old do they have to be before I can expect eggs from them?

Thanks,
Roger
