Steve, they often can be maintained on small crickets and some meal worms etc. You might want to opt to take off the large legs so the crickets do not get away so easily. They like a dry cage but do need to drink often so keep a water bowl low and nearby all the time and put a rock in the bowl to keep the cricket from drowning and don't over do it with the crickets or else you will spook the snakes.
