Hey,

First off, no, the less you touch your frog, the happier it'll be. These animals have a protective mucous layer on their skin which helps them to breathe and absorb water, and the oils on our skin can cause trouble for them .

I use exo-terra coconut substrate for mine, and he seems to be doing fine on it. As long as the humidity is kept around 80-ish, and the substrate is moist, he should be fine. You'll need the water-dish tho, always kept clean, for the frog to soak in. I'd suggest you mist the tank at least once a day to keep the humidity up. Found it works well.

Go easy on the goldfish, they're high in fat and can balloon your frog w/very little nutrient value. Crickets, meal-worms, wax-worms, super-worms, etc etc all make up the varied diet that a pacman needs, and these can and should be gut-loaded prior to feeding . Goldfish for me is a once-a-month sorta thing, but mine is still small anyway.

Finally, if you happen to have a female there, you won't hear a sound out've her. Males do make a grunting kinda call, but not all the time. Mine rarely did, unless I really pissed him offor he was calling for a mate/being misted.

Hope my long-winded, know-it-all approach helps some.
