They let us off early today at work...and since the cold front is going to ruin my wonderful herping weather this weekend.... I went walking a few trails earlier today :D

Two shots of the classic Honey Island Swamp. I snapped these off the side of a trail.




When I was riding down the road a few hogs ran out in front of my truck. I stopped the truck to snap a few pics....then these little stragglers came scurrying out. They were cuties.


And finally...my first snake shots of the year(but not the first snake sightings though...been seeing a few of the little guys...ringnecks, garters, and ribbons). A great looking little ribbon snake.
