It shouldn't be a problem. I used vermiculite and soak it in another container and then squeeze as much water out of it as you can. Put that mixture in a plastic shoe box container at a depth of 2.5 to 3 inches or so and half bury the eggs. Make sure you don't turn them when you place them in the container. I would try to keep them between 80 and 84 degrees or so and they should hatch in around 60 to 65 days. My father in law butchered snappers in MI and the one time I was up there I collected 12 eggs from one butchered turtle and brought them back to AL where they all hatched.
