I had a "golden greek" here in upstate NY and she did horribly with any humidity, which was a bit of a problem in spring and summer.

My hermanns I currently have has no problems at all. Actually I keep his enclosure a bit humid. He burrows alot, and inside the burrows it is very humid (near 100%), if it is dry in the enclosure he stays in his burrow.
