Blue-actually there has been work done by many on this forum with the short horns but the results haven't been overly good results. I think there are a few others like yourself that have had good luck. Having a better picture of the food and maintnenace and over all recomendation on Temps and substrate would indeed be of interst to many of us. I am assuming these have been raised under artifical conditions?
So here are a few things I thnik many of us would be intersted in:
What temps hot and cold side and over all ambient temp of the cage.
What substrate, and hydration technique are you using, eye dropper or sprayer, dampened ground etc.
What food are you feeding.
What locale are these from?
How long in captivity?
How much of these are lizards diet consist of ants, and if you know what kind?
Did the female mate with a partner or were these offspring a result of stored semen from previous wild mating? If you know.
Is any vegetation offered as a food source as well?
What size tank are you using assuming these were raised in artifical conditions.
You might consider contacting Cable about writing a short story on your experience with these, now I am assuming (never assume) that you have had these in captivity for some time, 2 years or so and have hibernated these through the winter? ----- www.phrynosoma.org
