Hi all,

Hope someone can help me with this! It is a bit of an emergency.

I recently got a flying frog, haven't positively ID'd the species. I made the bad choice of buying it from a not-so-great place, and a few frogs I looked at had skin pronlems or eye problems. The one I selected looked fine.

Now three days later it has the same eye problem at some of the others in the store - milky looking and swollen. These frogs have really big bulging eyes, and I'm thinking either:

A) It injured it's eye bumping into the glass at the store already, or afterwards, and then got infected.

B) Unsanitary conditions at the store.

C) Some contagiouus eye disease the others had.

Anyway I'd like to treat it if possible, but the infection is developing fast and now the frog squints its eyes and just stays put. It's difficult because the humid conditins it needs are accelerating the progress of the infection.

How can I treat it safely? is there something wrong with my set-up?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

SET-UP:

20-gallon tank
coconut mulch flooring (moist)
water dish
Live plants mounted on driftwood
Glass top with two screened sections for ventilation

There is no fan for ventilation, I don't know it if got too dry, not enough circularion, live plants carry bacteria, or what.

Thanks,

Mike
