I haven't been able to find a lot of information pertaining to tree frogs. My co-worker (we work at a pet supply store) found one and I brought it home. This was a week ago. He's very small right now... an inch long or possibly smaller.

I have him in a ten gallon on terrarium lining (the astroturf stuff), with a big fish tank decoration that has a bunch of long flowers coming off of it for him to climb on, as well as some branches from outside. I have a shallow dish for his water, and I also mist him heavily several times a day. He has a 50w infrared lamp that I leave on for twenty four hours as his heat source.

He's eaten twice since I've brought him home (which has been a week to the day); four medium sized crickets at his first feeding and two medium sized crickets at his second.

I guess my question is...

Am I doing everything right? If not, what am I doing wrong? Free or not, I want to give this little froggy what he needs, even if it means spending hundreds of dollars to make him happy. I've already spent about $60.

Some more questions--

Would a diet of strictly (or mostly) crickets be alright? Can I feed mealworms? And one website I read said that the crickets need to be dusted with a calcium supplement. Is this correct? One of my co-workers said that you don't need the calcium supplement, because we "gutload" our crickets. So do I not need a supplement because of this?

What other kinds of insects (not including wild caught because I'm paranoid about pesticides) can I feed?
