I used to have a few eastern diamondbacks rattlesnakes in my collection, and I think I witnessed a behavior in them that was not seen before. Whenever I would mist them with a spray bottle, they would channel the water to their mouth by flexing their venom glands into a sort of funnel shape which led the water directly into their mouth.
