I have owned several Eastern Coachwhips(M. f. flagellum) from east Texas that were very very close to being solid black. There was always some kind of red or pink near the tail or belly. The whips in the picture are both phases of piceus, I have owned both phases. Call me sometime bro! 719-994-5805. William Huntsman
