Hello,

I'm trying to decided which tortoise is right for me. It would be my first tortoise and I live in southern Oregon. The summers are nice and hot and it freezes during the winter. I'd prefer something small, not shy, and captive born. I'd also like to breed them someday, so something that's fairly easy to breed would be great.

I'm having trouble choosing between a Russian and a Hermanns. What are some differences between these two, that I should consider? Which one do you prefer?

Also, if there's any other breed that would work for me, I love to hear about it.

Thanks so much!
