Hello All: Back on June 10th I recovered 30 common snapper eggs from two DOR Females. Many of the eggs were scattered all over the road. Well I took a shot and incubated the eggs. Slowly but surely many of the eggs went bad. I got down to three which looked viable. To my great surprize today, I checked the incubater and two of the eggs were split open and nothing in them. I was puzzled - What the hell? Well I dug through the vermiculite and guess who I found two very healthy hatchlings !!!
YEAH - I've put them in a nice small aquarium and they are doing fine. The last egg still seems to be in good shape so I'll watch this one carefully. I wasn't counting on thirty eggs hatching. But the way I look at it. If I hadn't grabbed the eggs they all would have been wasted. It's a good day !
