Hopefully this will help at least 1 person if they are having trouble with giving their spiny/fence lizards water.

I just noticed my western fences doing something interesting. Most people i have talked to about how to give these lizards water say a shallow bowl or, more commonly, misting the sides of the cage work. I happened to spray the top of the cage which is wire mesh and now all of them like to go drinking hanging upside down on the top of the cage and completely ignore the other places I spray.

I figured I would make that a suggestion to somebody who is having difficulty with giving theirs water. It also seems to keep the substrate from becoming too moist.
