I have a question for you guys. I have had difficulties identifying the origin of my agalmas. I mean, most seem to argue that they originate from the Sierra de San Pedro Martir but I find that strange since that area seems hard to get to, while the Sierra Juarez seems easier to reach. I have read Richard Mulks and Brian Hubbs books, but I have still not been able to determine this.

I currently keep 8 agalmas. Five of my agalmas were bred the U.S and three of them were bred in Germany (Thomas Steffen). I know that my adult female was bred by Eric Stoops, but the older male and the newly acquired American 2005 trio, imported to Germany in 2005 and sold there to a friend of mine, - I have no idea at all who bred them.

Are there significant differences between the two localities of L. zonata agalma, such as pattern, color and maybe size?

It seems that I have a problem getting pictures visible here, but I can link to them if that will help you answering my question. There is a link to my adult female in my other thread here, I'll try to put in a few more soon.
