I've heard mention on here a few times about tiger salamanders being bred in Japan, does anyone have a link to the article or know where this rumor came from?

About 7 or 8 years ago I had a bunch of wild caught tiger salamanders outside my house in a large horse trough and managed to get eggs and larvae. Unfortunately I went off to summer camp and my parents made the mistake of spraying their horses for flys right next the trough and I had to come home to find out all of my salamanders and their larvae died... I have always had a passion for these amazing animals and a long time goal of mine has been to breed them in captivity.
