how big are they? if humidity is high in the tank they could be springtails or tropical woodlice. a good way to see if they are mites is to blow on them and if they don't move real fast then they are probably mites. the woodlice and springtails will probably hop off if blown on. also, the mites are almost microscopic and they other stuff is bigger. if you have a magnifing glass or microscope you can look at the structure of the thing. mites have a more circular body and 6 or eight legs. it's more like a spider. also, what color are the bugs?
