I am in the process of setting up an 18x18x24 terrarium to house 3 or 4 red eyed tree frogs. I have a false bottom set up, and a water fall pump. I wanted to create my own waterfall that pours into the small pond area out or air dry clay, but I was wondering if lacquering it will be enough to make it water resistant, and if it contains any chemicals that might be harmful to the frogs. I won't be getting the frogs for several weeks after it has been finished, so it will have plenty of time to dry. I was also wondering if starting out with four frogs is a good idea. I am not new to the animal world although I have not kept frogs before, but I feel like I know what I'm doing. My terrarium is large enough to house 4-5 comfortably, and I'd like to have that many, and don't want to go through the hastle of quarantining them if I start out with fewer. Comments?
