Opened at room temp with the packet still inside it maintains nutritional value for 6 months, it claims to last longer in the fridge, but we've never done that. Over the years we can tell you it is easy to tell when the diet starts to be less than fresh as it doesn't smell like fresh fruit when mixed up. You can really tell the banana powder when you open a fresh bottle, but it will slowly fade over the months as you use it. That being said, if you have only one gecko, the bottle of CGD the least you will feed is one bottle every 6 months for an adult, usually we get more like 5 months from a bottle. When it doesn't smell like candied fruit to you, toss it.
Hope this answers your question... also remember, at least around here a bottle is $5.99, when in doubt, replace it, if $6 breaks the bank someone probably shouldn't be keeping a crested anyways. ----- 0.1 Albino Leo Gecko 0.1 Crested Gecko 1.0 Dear Boyfriend Departed: Harvey and Spock
