Thanks for your input, Rita I've been discussing this with someone on another forum who seems to have some good advice. The cage is 6 ft. high, 4 ft. deep and 4 ft wide. I've decided to seal the pine frame, cover the sides and back with sealed plywood and cover the front with Plexiglas. Thanks for the info on the top though - I wasn't quite sure what to do with it. The mesh is very open, so I'm sure it won't block any of the UV. Using duct tape to hold in the humidity is something I'd not thought of before, though. :D
I think sphagnum moss is what I'll use as a substrate, I hear it helps a lot with humidity and is pretty safe.
