I have always segregated my males and introduced them to the ladies over a 10 day period. Pulled them out and reintroduced another male. If the cage is large enough maybe 2.1 could coexist, but 3.1 is pushing it. Secondly, I know from prior experience that males tend to dominate in the food chain. That really has to be taken into consideration.

You can have allot of food and some will starve unless you keep them not only segregated, but make certain they do not even see each other. Let me know how the eggs turn out.
