how long has it been since you noticed the skin sloughing off?

it may be in his best interest to help him along, and put him to sleep.

if you would like, i can help you with that. there are several ways to do it, without stressing the animal and they go rather fast.

think of his quality of life before your own feelings

just a suggestion.
