Whats an african plated?
There are many african species.
Depending on the species they reach lengths between 15 and 32" and are slender or heavily built.
For most adult plated species sexing is easy.
They do benefit from UVB, but with the right D3 supplementation you do not need UVB. But I strongly recommend to use BRIGHT lights. (These days this means metal halides)-they make a big difference in behaviour
