Let him/her settle in to the new surroundings for at least a week. A dull appearance can indicate it is about to shed. Also the eyes will have kind of a milky/bluish tint to them. Best not to handle any snake when the eyes are clouded like that. They tend to be more jumpy as their vision is worse than usual.
