Once again, I am wrestling with this problem! I have a Fluval 4 right now, it's the kind that sits in the tank. My two large turtles winter in the basement in an 85 gallon kiddie pool. My Fluval can no longer keep up. I have to clean out the filter every other day because it gets clogged up.

I've looked at canister filters, but they need to be lower than the tank, and my pool sits on the floor. I've looked at filters that hang on the side of an aquarium, but they won't fit on my round sided pool!

I'm currently considering a pond filter, but they seem like such over kill!

Any ideas will be appreciated! Thanks!
