I decided rid of my aquatic turtles a while back because it basically became too much to handle after some kind of animal mutilated some of them, but it seems as though I'm starting to keep them again. I was at Myakka River State Park, and I found a mud turtle, and I believe it is a three striped mud. I couldn't put it in the water because the water was too low, and I wasn't about to throw it over the bridge, into the water 40 feet down, so I'm keeping her in an old 20 gallon tank, which was used for young sliders, with sand, an under-gravel filter, and a basking ramp. I'm used to cooters and sliders, so I don't know anything about them, and any advice is appreciated.
Thanks, Cliff
