It depends on the distance the basking spot is from the bulbs. The microwatts per sq. inch from those bulbs is equivalent to a bright day at about 4 inches from the surface of the bulb and probably produces enough UVB for your lizard at a distance no greater than 20 inches away from them. In most cases it is safe/beneficial to run both
