Woodsman, By about August of this year, your female needs to be in very robust condition. I suspect for a boa of about 23 inches, she should be at 80 - 90 grams. However, if you haven't obtained a stretched length measurement, I suspect your boas is probably closer to 24 inches in which case it should be upwards of 100 grams or more by August or early Sept.
All boa populations north of Tulare Co. Calif. have proven to be of the large morph. And at 22 inches and above, your females should now be sexually mature. And yes, you need to place her under brumation conditions for probably a couple of months. I leave my boas under brumation from late Oct. to mid to late Feb. for male and into mid to late March for females.
