Hello:
You don't mention how you have the animal set up so it's hard to offer any advice. Mine are in a habitat that includes a rocky area that has a cave built into it that they can retire into. There are also several other large rocks scattered through the habitat for sight barriers and alternate basking sites. I also have a heat lamp positioned over the main basking area that keeps that spot real warm (around 98-105 degrees). Egyptian Uro's need warm basking sites and lots of light during the day in their habitats. They do not thrive in dark cages that are not warm.
Give us a description of how you are keeping the animal and it will be easier to offer advice.
