I tried to keep one that believe it or not I got at a herp show. It lasted about 1 month. Would like to try them again some time. I fed it some ant larvae and pupae, but it was winter in Ohio and they were hard to find. Also fed it dried and rehydrated ant pupae that they use for finch food, but never saw it eat. Rossi's book on snakes of U.S. in captivity has some info on them. I would think if you can get ant larvae/pupae year around they should be keepable. Rossi had kept them for a year I believe. Do an internet search. There is also a guy at a University in the E. U. S. who has videotaped Texas blind snakes eating and posted video on net.
