Leeway Corucia Research Center (LCRC)
In determining laboured breathing due to respiratory problems or whatever..
Here are some guidelines.
Count the number of times the chest cavity or stomach rises for 15 seconds then multiply by 4. This will give one the respiration rate per minute.
Note bene:
Since corucia is poikilothermic, temperature must be taken into account and adjusted accordingly.
At about 80 degree F., a healthy Corucia will have a rate of 60 / minute.
Make note if the breathing is regular or irregular.
It would be wise, especially , if one has multiple Corucia , to get a stethoscope. In addition to better monitor the rate and method of breathing. The heart beat rate and rhythm can be measured.
Sincerely, Brian LCRC
