My six year old female is now scratching and pawing the sand in front of my male, she also bobs here head and like you say actually chases the male some and its not the tail in the air move away, I interpret this as possible mating behavior and have never seen this in mine before, but I am home more so that may have something to do with it, I am cataloging these movements, also we have noticed that Solare males put in to early in the year will relentlessly chase the female in a bid to mate with her (or at least this has been my experience)and I believe actually wear themselves down? Has anyone noticed this. I have seen this in several males over the years. I am about to Flood my cage 1/2 of it with water and dampen the soil and add in a few hides and areas where a female might lay, to help with the monsoon seasonal thing, this is what I did the last time she laid, I have been working with the female, she is eating o.k. but really not been up to par lately, I also have issues with her as she was a runt and her head development was sqewed some in growth so she doesn't look as good as others, and other than that she is doing o.k.
