yes. I have a broadband that tears into some FT mice. Find out what he likes most (fish or frogs) and scent a live pinky or fuzzy (depending on snake size) with the fish or frog and put it in a deli cup with the snake and leave it in the closet with the lights off. Do NOT use an adult mouse as it will bite the snake. Even if the fuzzy is a bit small, it can't hurt the snake. If you have a large water snake, use pinky rats. Wash the rodent with warm water and bar soap and rinse well before scenting.
Check on the snake in about an hour or so. If he doesn't eat in about 3 hours, he probably won't, so feet the rodent to something else. It took about two months before mine would take live rodents regularly. But after he started eating live mice, he switched to FT quite easily.
If he takes a scented live mouse, then wait about 4-6 days and give him an unscented mouse.
You'll probably have to keep putting the snake in the closet for each feeding until he gets comfortable with you.
Let me know if you have any other questions. And post some pics. ----- 1.0.0 Great Plains Ratsnake 1.0.0 Corn, Lavender Aztec het for Amel 0.1.0 Black Ratsnake 0.0.1 Texas Rat (tame) 1.0.0 Broad Banded Water Snake, Hypo 1.0.0 Black Bassador Retriever 2.1.0 Godchildren, 1 Evil, 2 possible hets
