Yup, I watched this debacle as well. It was on the (Making up) History Channel. It was good to Rivas again, but other than that what a ridiculous waste of time. That program was full of every half truth and outright lie I've heard regarding large constrictors. I especially liked the part about them spreading across North America like the plague once (or is that if?) the temperatures rise due to global warming (I find it hard to believe that these people really believe that the temperatures will rise enough to make areas that routinely get around freezing hospitable for TROPICAL snakes). Watch out all of you innocents in New Mexico, there may be an anaconda hiding in your grandmothers shrubs! Full on b.s. I am with you Beth, I believe we as big snake keepers are in serious trouble, most of which is brought about by fear mongering ophidiophobics. I certainly hope the responsible people in this hobby can hold up against the continuing tide of negative publicity.
